This project was completed and presented as part of the interview process for the Brands and Properties division at Wasserman. With the league seeing a record increase in viewership during the 2024 season and initial enthusiasm expected to wear off, the challenge that the WNBA now faces is how to continue that growth as current stars continue their careers and a new rookie class is ushered in. The WNBA cannot rely only on the introduction of new transcendent athletes joining their ranks each year, so how else can the league continue its momentum? Through extensive research of the current landscape, I came up with two partnership strategies which would allow brands to reach and engage with the basketball community.
